Bootcamp Outline

INE's CCSP Bootcamp covers the latest Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCSP) exams and their blueprints. Since some of the exams constituting the CCSP certification are elective, the most fundamental one has been chosen for this track - the SNAA exam. Specifically, the bootcamp covers the exam 642-504 - Securing Networks with Cisco Routers and Switches (SNRS), exam 642-524 - Securing Networks with ASA Foundation (SNAF), exam 642-533 - Implementing Cisco Intrusion Prevention System (IPS) and exam 642-515 - Securing Networks with ASA Advanced (SNAA).

The bootcamp is subdivided into two 5-day classes. It is recommended, but not required, that class sessions be viewed in this order.

Week 1 - SNRS

  • Cisco Layer 2 security
  • Cisco IOS Firewalls
  • Cisco IOS-IPS
  • Cisco Secure VPNs
  • Network Foundation Protection using the CLI

  • Routing and switching on Security Appliances
  • Authentication, Authorization, & Accounting services
  • Advanced Traffic Filtering

Week 2 - IPS

  • Describe how Cisco IPS sensors are used to mitigate network security threats
  • Configuration Essentials
  • Advanced Cisco IPS Tuning

Belated thanks to INE Team for their wonderful workbooks and online community where I actively participated in discussions for long time and that's definately helped a lot to find the weak area's. I did not get a chance to attend bootcamp or online training but was wonderful to watch COD and practice workbook. CCIE SP took almost an year and three attempts for me to pass the exam. Apart from my wife and colleagues, i am really thankful to INE Team, especially both Brain's... Thanks again, hope to join you guys soon for preparation of other tracks.

I passed CCIE SP lab at Sydney on May 26, 2008, 10 months of studying after R&S. It was a well prepared lab with lots of tricky points. But I am very happy that I passed it on my first attempt. (...) Internetwork Expert CCIE SP Workbook was an excellent resource. I solved all the ten labs multiple times. I considered all configurations options and did more testing so that different solutions give different spot hidden issue. They were excellent...really. I give my special thanks to Brian Dennis, Brian Mcgahan, Petr Lapukhov, everyone in IEWB Forum (...) (...)

Big shout out for INE and their OEQ / lab preparation resources! I just cleared service provider on second attempt finishing about an hour and a half early. Was ~7% of passing the first time using INE 1 & 2 as my primary material then just drilled down on the finer details reading theory. The workbooks really developed the speed and confidence required to beat the exam!

Joe Harris - CCIE #6200
