CCIE Security Core Knowledge Simulation
INE's CCIE Security Core Knowledge Simulation is designed to help prepare candidates for the newly added "open ended" section of the Security CCIE Lab Exam. This new section of the exam, added June 15 2009, consists of four computer based, short-answer questions which candidates have 30 minutes to complete.
Unlike traditional written exams, the Core Knowledge questions are not multiple choice, but instead require a short answer to be manual typed out by the candidate. Additionally, this section must be completed before proceeding onto the traditional configuration portion of the exam, candidates may not return to the short answer questions once they have begun the configuration portion of the exam, and no additional resources such as the Cisco documentation are available during the section. Most importantly, this section is manually graded by the exam proctors as pass or fail only. Candidates who answer more than one question incorrectly in the Core Knowledge section automatically fail the entire lab exam, even if they passed the configuration and troubleshooting portions of the exam!
INE's Core Knowledge Simulation offers a specifically targeted way to prepare for this new section. This product consists of a large (and frequently updated) database of short answer questions in which candidates must manually enter their responses to the questions. Unlike other traditional testing engines, these questions are not multiple choice, so no blind guessing is possible.
Multiple testing modes are available, including 4 question quizzes, 20 question quizzes, 40 question quizzes, and a quiz consisting of the entire testing database. The product is accessible through your online account, and requires Adobe Flash Player and a live internet connection to use.
