CCIE Service Provider Core Knowledge Simulation

INE's CCIE Service Provider Core Knowledge Simulation is designed to help prepare candidates for the newly added Core Knowledge section of the Service Provider CCIE Lab Exam. This Core Knowledge section was formerly referred to as the "Open Ended Questions". This new section of the exam, to be added January 4, 2010, consists of four computer based, short-answer questions which candidates have 30 minutes to complete.

Unlike traditional written exams, the Core Knowledge questions are not multiple choice, but instead require a short answer to be manual typed out by the candidate. Additionally, this section must be completed before proceeding onto the traditional configuration portion of the exam, candidates may not return to the short answer questions once they have begun the configuration portion of the exam, and no additional resources such as the Cisco documentation are available during the section. Most importantly, this section is manually graded by the exam proctors as pass or fail only. Candidates who answer more than one question incorrectly in the Core Knowledge section automatically fail the entire lab exam, even if they passed the configuration and troubleshooting portions of the exam!

INE's Core Knowledge Simulation offers a specifically targeted way to prepare for this new section. This product consists of a large (and frequently updated) database of short answer questions in which candidates must manually enter their responses to the questions. Unlike other traditional testing engines, these questions are not multiple choice, so no blind guessing is possible.

Multiple testing modes are available, including 4 question quizzes, 20 question quizzes, 40 question quizzes, and a quiz consisting of the entire testing database. The product is accessible through your online account, and requires Adobe Flash Player and a live internet connection to use.

Intended Audience

CCIE Service Provider candidates who have already obtained their CCNP/CCIP or have equivalent level of knowledge.

This CCIE Service Provider Core Knowledge Simulation is also beneficial to those CCIE candidates who have attempted the actual CCIE lab exam without passing and need to build on their understanding of the fundamental topics.

Follow Up With

After completing the CCIE Service Provider Core Knowledge Simulation, continuing working on the labs in the CCIE Service Provider Workbook Volume 1.

I passed the SP lab on my second attempt in Brussels on the 7th July 2008. Your workbook and class on demand products were excellent for my preparation and were all that I used!. This now makes me a double IE, having used your products to get my RS last year! Thanks again.

Andre Vasquez - CCIE #26409

I would like to thank INE for great support and materials (OEQ and online Bootcamp). Both bootcamp with Brian and OEQ simulator were very important on my final preparation for the lab. I wouldn't achieve the certification without your support. Thank you!!! Andre Vasquez, CCIE Service Provider # 26409

Andrey Golovanov - CCIE #25335

Passed CCIE SP from first attempt. Preparation took about 3 weeks: week 1 SP BootCamp (Online), week 2&3 Lab Workbook II. I would like to thank everyone in IE and (especially Brian Dennis, Scott Morris and Petr Lapukhov) for the great learning materials! You're doing great job! Thank you!

Team Internetworkexpert, I passed my Service Provider CCIE on April 25 making me a Triple CCIE. I want to thank you for your excellent products which contributed enormously to my success. The Class on Demand course was excellent and helped to reinforce the blueprint topics and your workbook is hands down the best on the market. Thanks again.

Allen Mann - CCIE #17203

Dear Internetwork Expert staff -- Thanks so much for providing great training materials and practice labs. I passed my CCIE Service Provider Lab on Thursday, Aug 7, using only Internetwork Expert study material. The online community is a great resource as well and really helped me gain a better understanding of many problem approaches and solutions. Internetwork Expert helped me become 1 of approximately 400 individuals that currently hold R/S and SP designations. Thanks again.
