CCIE Voice Deep Dive

INE's CCIE Voice Deep Dive learning modules are the next step to fully understanding complex CCIE level technologies. Every possible technology you need to know for the CCIE Voice lab will be described in extremely verbose detail using what we call a "Deep Dive" approach. This approach combines various features from a live, instructor-led class where every GUI and CLI interface found in the CCIE Voice Lab Exam is thoroughly covered, and everything is tested live and troubleshot.

The format of each Deep Dive module is focused around a carefully developed training methodology that INE has found highly effective in not only communicating, but also causing the student to develop a highly technical acumen for both the important conceptual theory and the implementation & troubleshooting aspect of every topic.

CCIE Voice Advanced Technologies Class

INE's CCIE Voice Advanced Technologies Class is the first step in understanding CCIE level technologies and is a companion to the Advanced Technologies Lab Workbook. Each technology you need to know for the CCIE Voice lab will be described in detail using an instructor led hands on demonstration.

The Class-on-Demand is accessible in recorded format through your online member's account 24 hours a day, 7 days a week! Candidates with reliable/always-on internet connections, who study mostly from their computers, will benefit most from this edition. With the online format, you can log in to your account from any computer connected to the internet, and all you need is a modern browser and Adobe Flash Player installed. You can watch and re-watch the recordings as much as you like, and download all the slide PDF's from the class to assist in your studies.

Intended Audience

CCIE Voice candidates who already have a CCVP or equivalent level of knowledge. This bootcamp will be more beneficial if you have already watched the Advanced Technologies Primer.

Follow Up With

After completing the CCIE Advance Technologies Bootcamp, you will be prepared to do the labs in the CCIE Voice Workbook Volume 1 and the CCIE Voice Workbook Volume 2.

At a Glance

Each Deep Dive module follows this training methodology:

  • Collectively discuss all concepts involved in the technology
  • Define a specific set of tasks to be accomplished
  • Whiteboard the tasks, any notes about them, and how they will be logically implemented
  • Demonstrate how the tasks and concepts are implemented and properly configured
  • Test the configuration thoroughly
  • Vary the configuration to understand how different permutations effect the outcome
  • Debug and trace the working configuration to understand what should be seen
  • Break the configuration and troubleshoot with debugs and traces to contrast from the working set

Each Deep Dive module contains approximately 4-6 hours of live instruction, however some modules do invariably go longer such as topics like QoS and DialPlan. Spending 4-6 on each individual topic does mean that choosing to use this product to study for your CCIE Voice Exam is not a "quick" method to passing. In fact, at completion, we estimate there will be over 200 hours of Class on Demand recordings.

Each Deep Dive module is accessible in recorded format, and has many accompanying files that are downloadable from your online member's account that will assist you in your studies.

These include:

  • A Deep Dive Workbook of tasks for each module
  • Startup and Final configurations for each module
  • All whiteboarding sessions for each module captured in JPG format
  • A document of additional "Reading Resources" for each module
  • All pertinent diagrams

Petr Lapukhov's career in IT begain in 1988 with a focus on computer programming, and progressed into networking with his first exposure to Novell NetWare in 1991. Initially involved with Kazan State University's campus network support and UNIX system administration, he went through the path of becoming a networking consultant, taking part in many network deployment projects. Petr currently has over 12 years of experience working in the Cisco networking field, and is the only person in the world to have obtained four CCIEs in under two years, passing each on his first attempt. Petr is an exceptional case in that he has been working with all of the technologies covered in his four CCIE tracks (R&S, Security, SP, and Voice) on a daily basis for many years. When not actively teaching classes, developing self-paced products, studying for the CCDE Practical & the CCIE Storage Lab Exam, and completing his PhD in Applied Mathematics, Petr can be found as a regular author on INE's CCIE Blog.

Mark Snow has been actively working with data and traditional telephony as a Network Engineer since 1995, and has been working with Cisco routers and voice-over technology since 1998. Mark has been teaching and developing content for the CCIE Voice track since 2005, and the Security track since 2007. You will find Mark Snow in Live Classroom Voice and Security classes here at INE.

Brett Saling - CCIE #25890

"More than impressed with the talent at INE and their contribution as trusted advisors to my success in achieving this certification. I had the opportunity to spend a week at the bootcamp in Reno and solidify the gaps in my knowledge before facing the actual lab. Being able to throw questions back at live bodies while in the midst of mock-lab tasks is priceless as those 'pesky' questions usually surface when studying and your phone-a-friends are out drinking. Much thanks to Josh for his time, insight and patience and for having the tenacity to take students under his wing and provide the necessary resources to strengthen their understanding of core technologies. Cathartic experience for sure. Now time for a little break, a little make-up family time, then on to Security!"

Haresh Khemani - CCIE #21176

I just wanted to let you know I passed CCIE Voice on Jan 26. My CCIE # remains same from R&S - 21176. I have used your Version 3 Class On Demand, Volume 1 & 2 and the Core Knowledge Simulation.

Pablo Roman - CCIE #24832

Hello, I passed my voice lab on 8th June, my first CCIE. I used your Workbook and Rack Rental for my preparation. Your CCIE blog is the best has good explanation for understanding hard topic. Thanks.

Daryl Smith - CCIE #25893

I took the exam last Friday in RTP and received the news today. This was also my first attempt!!!! My studies were made up of Reading the SRND section by section and understanding the technology as well as going through Vol 1 workbook and understanding the questions and the task. Once I was able to do the task and meet the requirements I then moved onto full labs and trying to put it all together. The week before my lab I completed my last and final full mock lab that Sat. After that no more labbing, I felt I could do the lab so the rest of the week I would do specific topics just to stay sharp but not any full labs. Going back to my sport days you practice, practice, practice then rest before you match, game or event. I did the same with the lab and I feel that paid off pretty good. I was worried about the OEQ, but like everyone has stated. If you really prepare for the exam the OEQ are easy. I would like to thank Josh Finke, and Mark Snow, for all the study material and advice as well as my study partner "Twann Atkins". So be on the lookout for their success stories coming soon. DPS CCIE 25893

Aybala Tut - CCIE #26226

I passed my Voice Lab 2 weeks ago in Brussels. I have used all INE Workbooks and attended the one week bootcamp. I honestly recommend the bootcamp, especially as an opportunity to clarify your final questions within the last month before your attempt your lab. Good luck to all who still need to sit for the lab.
