Volume II - Full Scale Practice Labs - contains multiple eight-hour labs similar to the one you have to pass in order to get your CCIE title. All labs follow a structured design covering all necessary topic domains on the CCIE voice lab exam. Throughout each lab, you will configure the necessary technologies to build a complete CCIE Voice Lab topology. Each scenario is accompanied with a detailed solutions guide that explains both the necessary configurations and their reasoning. The technologies covered in the CCIE Voice Lab Workbook Volume II workbook cover all features of the CCIE Lab Exam and consist of both GUI and CLI based configurations. The systems to configure include voice enabled router and switch IOS platforms, CUCM Servers, Unity Connections Server, 7961 IP Phones, CUCCX, and Presence. Click the overview section for more information »
The CCIE Voice Workbook Volume II is currently only available in our CCIE Voice Workbook Bundle.
Like the actual CCIE Voice Lab Exam, each of the lab scenarios contained in INE's Voice Lab Workbook Volume II are designed to be configured within an 8 hour time frame, and are on average 15 - 20 pages in length. These labs are not 5 or 6 page mini-labs as you will see in other workbook products available on the market. In addition to this, each lab scenario in the Voice Lab Workbook Volume II covers a wide range of topics similar to the actual CCIE Lab Exam, and is divided into various general technology sections.
All of the labs contain unique scenarios that will test the knowledge you gain from INE's CCIE Voice Deep Dives as well as from the CCIE Voice Workbook Volume I. The labs build upon individual technologies and the interactions between them. Each Volume II lab is designed to simulate a full scale 8 hour lab, in addition to the core and non core tasks of lab configuration. Core tasks are subjects relating to network and phone connectivity, call routing, phone and device initialization/configuration, voicemail, and gateway/gatekeeper utilization. Non core tasks consist of subjects such as Features, CUCCX, Call Park/Pickup, Hunt Groups, etc.
Each lab scenario contained in the Voice Lab Workbook Volume II consists of various sections totaling 100 points. Each task within the lab is assigned a specific point value. Just as in the actual CCIE Voice Lab exam, points are only awarded if the presented solution meets all the given requirements for a task, and does not violate any restrictions presented in that, or any other task. No partial credit is awarded for any task. A minimum score of 80 points is required to 'pass' a particular lab. This design is intended to allow the labs in this workbook to be used as preparatory mock lab exams, simulating the conditions of the actual CCIE Voice Lab Exam.
The solution sets for these labs are currently delivered as a mixture of PDF-based solutions and video-based solutions.
